I receive a “Accessory Not Reachable” notification when trying to interact with my accessory

This notification is displayed only when an accessory is not connected to the network or is powered off. Here are some remedies for this:

  • Make sure the accessory is connect to power (i.e. the accessory is plugged into a working power source such as a wall outlet or lamp that is plugged to a working wall outlet)
  • Make sure that the iOS device (iPhone) you’re using to interact with the accessory is connected to the same WiFi network as your accessory.
  • Make sure that the iOS device (iPhone) you're using to interact with the accessory has a working data connection
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi router the accessory is connected to is powered ON and has a working internet connection
